Following another successful season in 2018/19 for the online player registration process with all our youth leagues along with the adult sections of the Norfolk Christian Football League, Norfolk Women’s and Girls League and the Norfolk FA Veterans League, the online registration process will now be extended to all Clubs playing in a Norfolk Sanctioned League for the 2019-20 season. This means that in addition to the Leagues mentioned above the following Leagues will also be online for the player registration process for the coming season:
- Anglian Combination League
- Central and South Norfolk League
- Great Yarmouth Saturday League
- King’s Lynn Sunday League
- North East Norfolk League
- North West Norfolk League
- Norwich & District Sunday League
What does the online registration process mean for Clubs?
If a Club has a team or teams who play in a Norfolk affiliated league they will submit registrations for the 2019/20 season through the FA system, known as the Whole Game System (WGS). This replaces the paper registration form that is submitted to Norfolk FA.
Consent must still be gained from the player (adult leagues) / parent or guardian of the player (youth leagues) prior to submitting the registration via WGS. This can either be done via offline consent or online consent. Offline consent forms will be available on our website from 1st June 2019.
The registration process can either be completed solely by Club Secretaries or it can be split between individuals within the Club (e.g. team managers). How you manage the process is up to you as a Club.
To make the process easier individuals who have previously been registered / associated with the Club will already be attached to your Club records on WGS. This will also mean that there may be individuals attached who are no longer part of your Club. It is your responsibility as a Club to ensure this data is accurate and up to date. If you have individuals who are no longer part of the Club still attached you should remove their records or, alternatively, send a list of these individuals to us and we can remove these records on your behalf. It is important this process is completed to ensure your Club complies with GDPR. If you have any further questions relating to this please let us know.
What training will you provide to support the new process?
Norfolk FA will be providing training workshops, a recorded WebEx and guidance documents.
Training evenings for Clubs will be held at the following venues:
- 2nd July – Alive Leisure, King’s Lynn – 7pm
- 4th July – Open Academy, Norwich – 7pm
- 9th July – Lynn Grove, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth – 7pm
- 11th July – Webex – 7pm
- 15th July – Webex – 7pm
If your Club is new to the process please ensure that the individual(s) who’ll be completing the process either attend a session listed at one of the venues above or attends a WebEx.
Clubs who have used the system in previous seasons are also welcome to attend if they have individuals who are new to the process this season or to attend as a refresher.
Please contact either Hannah Boyd (Hannah.Boyd@NorfolkFA.com) or Tom Constance (Thomas.Constance@NorfolkFA.com ) with the date of the session and number of individuals who will be attending from your Club to book your spaces.
