• The trophy event consists of the following competitions:

  • All trophy events in each age group are defined as one competition. Once a player has played in an age group competition, they are ‘cup-tied’ to that team and age group and cannot participate for another team in the same age group in another trophy event.

TROPHY 01. Each age group from Under 9 to Under 11 shall have a trophy event where a cup is awarded. Such events are Trophy Event Competitions. All teams will be entered into a Trophy Event Competition for their respective age group. Qualification from the group stage section competition will be confirmed once group sizes have been confirmed. This document will be updated prior to the issuing of fixtures and groupings. TROPHY 02. Subject to where specific provision is made in these rules, the relevant League rules shall apply.

TROPHY 03. Each group stage fixture shall be played at the home ground of the team listed first in the fixture. In the event that the first drawn team is unable to host the tie on the scheduled date, the game shall be played at the ground of the second drawn team. If neither team is able to host the tie the game shall be played at a venue determined by the Management Committee. In any event the Management Committee may order that any tie be played on a date and at a venue of its choosing.

TROPHY 04. Each tie must take place on or before the given date allocated for the fixture. The tie can be brought forward from the original fixture date (with agreement from both teams and the league management committee) but not moved back. If a fixture is postponed/abandoned twice owing to pitch conditions, the venue will change to the listed away team for the fixture.

TROPHY 05. The decision of the Management Committee relating to the dates and venues of all matches shall be binding on all teams.

TROPHY 06. The Final tie in all competitions shall be played at a venue and on a date and time determined by the Management Committee.

TROPHY 07. All Saturday Trophy Event Competition matches shall kick off between 09.30am and 12.30pm as determined by the home team. All Sunday Trophy Event Competition matches shall kick off between 09.30am and 2.30pm as determined by the home team.

TROPHY 08. The Management Committee shall endeavour to facilitate the appointment of as many referees and assistant referees for trophy event matches as possible. Otherwise Rule 23 (B) of SCORY shall apply.

TROPHY 09. The fee and expenses of Match official(s) relating to all trophy event matches (except for the final tie) shall be borne equally by both clubs.

TROPHY 10. The League shall meet all match expenses of the final ties and shall take the proceeds of any gate or programme monies involved.

TROPHY 11. A player may not play for a team if they have played another team in the same age group Trophy Event competition in the same season. Teams found guilty of playing ineligible players in a trophy event match may be removed from the competition or have the fixture awarded to the opposition, may be fined up to £100 . If the game is ordered to be replayed, then the offending club may also be ordered to pay the expenses incurred.

TROPHY 12. For the avoidance of doubt, all the individually named trophies are defined as one Trophy Event competition for each age group; should a player play for one team in any of the named trophies, they shall not be eligible to play for any other team in the same age group that season. Teams found guilty of playing ineligible players in a trophy event match may be removed from the competition or have the fixture awarded to the opposition, may be fined up to £100 . If the game is ordered to be replayed, then the offending club may also be ordered to pay the expenses incurred.

TROPHY 13. No player shall play for a team in the quarter-finals, semi-finals or final of any Trophy Event Competition unless they have played in at least two competitive matches (league development fixture or trophy event competitions) for the said team prior to the Quarter-Finals during the current season (or was a registered bona fide player for the said team on 1st October of the current season), except with the permission of the committee. Applications for permission to be granted must be submitted in writing to the League Secretary at least five days before the date of the tie. Teams found guilty of playing ineligible players in a trophy event match may be removed from the competition or have the fixture awarded to the opposition, may be fined up to £100 . If the game is ordered to be replayed, then the offending club may also be ordered to pay the expenses incurred.

TROPHY 14. In the event of a team failing to fulfil a trophy event competition fixture on the date decided, it may forfeit the match to its opponents and may be liable to a fine of up to £50.

TROPHY 15. For all Trophy Event Competition matches where there is a colour clash then the away team will change colours.

TROPHY 16. Both Clubs shall use FA Full Time/FA Matchday as directed by the Competition to notify the result of each Competition Match to the Full-Time system by 5pm on the date of the match. Failure to comply with this Rule will result in a fine in accordance with the Fines Tariff

TROPHY 17. A match return must be completed within 3 days of the date played, the result of each trophy event match in the prescribed manner. This must include the forename(s) and surname of the Team Players and also the referee markings required by SCORY Rule 23, or any other information required by the Competition. Failure to comply with this Rule will result in a fine in accordance with the Fines Tariff.

TROPHY 18. By no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled kick off time, a fully completed team sheet, as prescribed by the Competition, shall be given to both the opposing team and the Referee. Any Club failing to comply with this rule or provide incomplete or incorrect information may be fined in accordance with the Fine Tariff.

TROPHY 19. Team sheets received by Clubs must be retained for the whole of the current season and must be supplied to the Competition within 5 days if such a request is made.

TROPHY 20. Any tie-break play off fixtures to determine teams progressing to knockout stages shall be played at a venue determined by the Management committee. In any event the Management Committee may order that any tie be played on a date and at a venue of its choosing.

TROPHY 21. Knockout ties shall be played at the home ground of the team listed first in the fixture. In the event that the first drawn team is unable to host the tie on the scheduled date, the game shall be played at the ground of the second drawn team. In any event the Management Committee may order that any tie be played on a date and at a venue of its choosing.

TROPHY 22. A cup or trophy shall be awarded to the winning team in a Trophy Event Competition final tie.

TROPHY 23. In addition to the cup or trophy the league may award 14 mementos for 7v7 & 18 mementos for 9v9. Additional mementos may be available for purchase by the teams through the League

TROPHY 24. In the event of a draw at the end of normal time in all fixtures the match shall be decided by the taking of penalties as laid down in the Laws of the game.
