Norfolk Combined Youth Football League (NCYFL) is thrilled to announce a transformative partnership, marking a pivotal milestone in the advancement of girls’ football in Norfolk and North Suffolk.

With our soon-to-be-revealed partner’s generous support, NCYFL is set to provide a Girls’ Provision, reinforcing our commitment to fostering inclusivity and equal opportunities in the sport. As part of this landmark collaboration, the partner organisation will hold the naming rights over the girls’ divisions, cup, and trophy competitions within the NCYFL, demonstrating their unwavering dedication to promoting the growth and visibility of girls’ football.

In tandem with this exciting development, and by the kindness of our new partner, we are pleased to announce that there will be a subsidy for league entry fees for girls’ teams participating in NCYFL’s Girls’ Provision. Development age groups (U7-U11) will see a reduced fee of £15, whilst U12-U18 teams will benefit from a reduced fee of £30, fostering greater accessibility and encouraging more girls to embrace the beautiful game. We believe in providing a platform for girls to showcase their talents on equal footing with mixed-gender teams, offering Cup Finals and Trophy Events at premier venues, ensuring an unparalleled experience for all participants.

To further enrich the girls’ footballing experience, NCYFL is proud to launch an Under 18 provision, inviting clubs to actively shape this initiative following their application to join NCYFL. Applications to join NCYFL are now open for all teams aged Under 7 to Under 18 for the 2024-25 season, which can be done commitment-free by visiting ncyfl.co.uk/application.

Furthermore, it’s important to note that the establishment of the Girls’ Provision was a direct response to requests from member clubs. At NCYFL, we prioritise listening to our community and working collaboratively to address their needs and aspirations. This initiative represents a culmination of feedback and cooperation, and we are excited to see it come to fruition.

All new teams joining NCYFL can take advantage of our comprehensive funding schemes, including the Sports Glasses Fund, Referee Bursary, and Serious Injury Fund, empowering girls to overcome barriers and thrive in the sport they love. Teams in the league also benefit from the Behaviour Reward scheme, for the current season teams that behaved in the expected manner for the previous season received free entry into NCYFL, we are looking to continue this scheme going forward. NCYFL also operate a Women In Football networking group, established by existing committee members, the group engages with clubs, teams and referees to provide support and encourage women to get involved and stay in the game.

This partnership epitomises NCYFL’s unwavering dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive footballing community, where every young player has the opportunity to succeed, excel, make friends, and love the beautiful game. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our forthcoming partner for their invaluable support and shared vision in advancing the girls’ football agenda in Norfolk and North Suffolk.

Stay tuned for the exciting announcement of our partner organisation in due course.
