Refsec Guides

NCYFL are moving to a new league management system for the 2025-26 season.

The application process for this season will be completed on RefSec.

Please click here to visit RefSec.

Applications should be completed by the club secretary. They will need to register on RefSec and then be granted access to the club.

FAQ’s and Help Guides

The person needs to register here – NCYFL Refsec

Once they have registered, they will receive a verification email.

Once they have verified, they will be able to complete their profile and list which club they coach for.

At that point, the club secretary will be informed of a new registration.

To authorise a registration, log in to Refsec and go to People then Authorisations.

Approve the authorisation, then go to Club then Team.

The person will then be selectable from the Team Manager dropdown.

All roles by default are Team Manager in Refsec.

NCYFL will only permit those listed on a team sheet to be in the technical area.
Coaches/management/team admins must therefore ensure their profile on Refsec has a passport style photograph.
To do this, login to Refsec and go to My Details, then Personal Details.
You can then upload your photo.

Player photos will be synced 4 times a day from The FA Club Portal. Upload them there, they do not need to be done in Refsec.

To view Team and Club contacts, select the Directories option in the menu.
The first page will display all the club contacts.
To find a contact for a specific team, find the club, and then select team contacts.

This error means that the person listed cannot currently be found in the Competition Portal export.

This is for one of the following reasons:

a) The team have yet to be affiliated and added to NCYFL. To resolve this, the club needs to affiliate that team, and under Leagues add Norfolk Combined Youth Football League as the selected league on Club Portal.

b) The individual does not have a role on Club Portal at your club.

c) There is a mismatch in the persons name. Eg. Chris on Refsec, Christopher on Club Portal. They both need to match. To resolve this, the person should log into their Refsec account and amend their name.

d) The system synchronises 4 times a day with The FA systems and grabs the data. It may display this error until a sync has taken placed.
